Sebastian Sanchez
Sebastian has been writing songs for nearly 30 years, creating original music that blends Latin rock, pop, reggae, funk, and alternative sounds. Born in Colombia, he spent 15 years in Montreal before settling in Nova Scotia in 2021. His solo performances—voice and electric guitar—are vibrant, rhythmic, and emotionally charged, with lyrics in Spanish and occasionally English that explore themes of connection, resilience, and transformation. In addition to performing, Sebastian uses music as a tool for community building, education, and collective expression. He leads music-based activities, workshops, and events that foster connection across cultures and generations. Now based in Bridgewater, he shares his work with both Spanish- and English-speaking audiences, offering an uplifting and meaningful experience rooted in authenticity.

Playing Live at Mark DeWolf´s Gastronomic Fundraising Event

Today I went to Eli + Trix to support the Mahone Bay Music Association by playing some tunes at their open mic, and OMG was it amazing!

I had never been there, and immediately the atmosphere was cozy and exciting, what a treat!

If you see this and you were there please share your impressions, and photos if you took any!

A big shout to Danny Banfield for his open mic initiative and for so kindly lending me his guitar; to the musicians for adding their energy, and to the crowd (and little Jane! was that her name?) for making everything soooo special.

FYI I´ll be there again this Saturday, November 15, from 7pm to 9pm, playing a mix of my tunes and popular music classics --from many countries like Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Argentina, etc for a gastronomic fundraising event (see poster below)

Thank you, Danielle King and team, for the opportunity!
